Importance of proper Master Data Management is on the rise

The results indicate that there are a lot of development activities happening around MDM in Finnish companies.
Master Data Management is an important efficiency and quality development agent that has in the past suffered from a perhaps too academic tone, but which now is gaining ground as the solid founding of Enterprise Information Management.
There is a lot of variety in the maturity level of MDM in Finnish companies and there is even a clear risk that the MDM resources will soon be exhausted. More MDM specialists will be needed in the coming years.
The data was gathered in face to face interviews of representatives from 12 Finnish companies in different industries.
